Refeel is designed so that your journal stays yours. This page explains, simply, what data exists, where it goes and what you can do with it.
What stays on your iPhone
Your journal (moods, emotions, activities, events, energy, sleep, stress, notes), your photos, your discoveries and your settings are stored only on your iPhone. Statistics and discoveries are computed on your phone. We have no access to your journal and nobody reads your notes.
What is sent
Two anonymous answers, only once
At the end of the app introduction, your answers to two questions (what you would like to find in your journal, how you discovered Refeel) are sent once, along with the app language and version. No name, no identifier, nothing from your journal. They are stored by our host Supabase in the European Union (Ireland) and are used only to understand what people expect from Refeel, to improve it. As with any Internet connection, Supabase sees the device’s IP address and may keep it for a few days in its technical logs, for the security of the service; it is not stored with your answers.
Premium subscription
Purchases are made and billed by Apple. We never see your name, email address or payment details. To know whether Premium is active, the app uses the RevenueCat service, which receives an anonymous identifier created by the app and the purchase information provided by Apple (product, date, status). RevenueCat receives nothing from your journal.
Messages to support
When you write to us, we receive your message and your email address. A technical diagnostic (app version, iPhone model, iOS version) is attached only if you choose so, and never contains your notes, photos or moods. The message is sent from your own email app to our email address.
Backup, notifications, Face ID and photos
- Backup and export: they create a file you keep wherever you like (for example in Files or iCloud Drive). We have no access to it.
- Notifications: your reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No server sends them.
- Face ID: the check is done by iOS. The app only receives “succeeded” or “failed”, never your face.
- Photos: the app only accesses the photos you choose to add, and keeps them on your iPhone.
How long data is kept
- Your journal, photos and settings: on your iPhone, for as long as you want. They are gone if you erase everything from the app or delete the app (except backups you saved elsewhere).
- The two anonymous answers: 3 years at most, then deleted.
- Messages to support: kept 3 years at most after our last exchange, then deleted.
- Subscription information: kept by Apple and RevenueCat under their own rules, as long as needed to manage your subscription.
Services used
- Apple: subscription payments, notifications, Face ID (Apple’s policy).
- RevenueCat: checking the Premium subscription (RevenueCat’s policy).
- Supabase: storing the two anonymous answers, in Ireland (Supabase’s policy).
No other service receives data from the app.
This website
The getrefeel.app website uses no cookies, no analytics and no ads. It is hosted by GitHub, which, like any host, receives visitors’ IP addresses to run and secure the site.
What we don’t do
No account to create, no ads, no ad tracking, no selling of data, no audience measurement in the app.
Your rights
You can export all your data or erase everything from the app, in Settings, My data. Since the data sent is anonymous, we cannot link it to you. For any question about your data, write to us at support@elc-conseil.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
